As early as the beginning of the 1980s Uhde recognized that the systematic expansion of an international network and on-site presence would future-proof the company. As locations, Brazil and Australia were followed by Spain and Thailand. By 1994, more than 50 % of the workforce were already working at proprietary foreign subsidiaries. The concept of a strong international presence with Uhde engineering capacities, as well as a focus on Uhde’s proprietary technologies, has proved to be a crucial part of Uhde’s success over the last three decades.
