Family, friendships and a strong network remain central to Simran Nagpal. Relationships, in her view, evolve through conversations, shared moments and the comfort of staying connected. Even on the busiest days, she finds herself planning when the next catch-up might happen, an intentional pause between the demands of her work and responsibility.
Work, like a steady current, moves alongside this rhythm of life. Her journey began as a trainee and later as a systems administrator. Her first innings at Uhde was between 2003 and 2010. Over time, one role led to another and different organisations became part of that journey. Yet returning to Uhde in 2018 felt familiar, almost like walking back into a second home.
What she values most about the environment here is the culture of learning. There are mentors but no spoon-feeding. One learns by figuring things out, and sometimes by getting it wrong. That experience widened her horizon, from engineering applications to system implementation to, and now to her role as a Service Leader, where she continues to learn how to delegate and trust her team.
For Simran, a few beliefs remain constant. Speak up when something needs to be said, extend support where it is needed, and value relationships that add meaning to life. Financial independence, she believes, brings confidence in an uncertain world.
Her friends remain her strength, the consistency and discipline of her father a lasting influence, and her daughter a quiet source of pride. Armed with these, she continues to move forward, balancing her work while staying connected to the people and values that matter most.
